Form: I rolled a slab cut out two cirlces. I then added a coil along the edge on both of them. After that I added small bits of clay to form a moon shape and defined the the features with a needle tool. The flower I pressed with my thumb to make petal shapes and attacked them to the center.

Glazes: The flower was under-glazes Red, pink, yellow, green, white and crystal clear over the top. The moon was Mayco glazes blue yonder, sky blue, pink and crystal glaze water pond.

Design:
To improve: I would make the pieces a bit thinner and add an opening to where something could rest a bit easier, instead of on the ledge.

Inspiration: I made a moon last year, so I referenced that for the moon holder. For the flower I used the tree outside my house as reference, I just thought it was beautiful and would match my house

The flower one turned out just how I wanted it, the moon ended up a bit weird.
