Form: I rolled a slab cut out two circles. After that I added small bits of clay to form a sun shape and defined the the features with a needle tool. The flower I pressed with my thumb to make petal shapes and attacked them to the center.

Glazes: The flower was under-glazes Red, pink, yellow, green, white and crystal clear over the top. The moon was Mayco glazes hot tamale, yellow, pink and clear crystal glaze.

Design:
To improve: I would make the pieces a bit flatter and I add a tiny bit of a ledge, instead of almost no ledge.

Inspiration: I just made a flower and moon spoon holder and I wanted to make a matching set, so I did another flower and a sun. For the flower I used the tree outside my house as reference, as well as my pervious flower.

The flower one turned out even better than last time, so I'm very happy. The sun is cute, but a little misshapen.
